See the transfer land before you hand over the goods
Most Nigerian customers would rather pay by transfer than by card. The Viscount virtual terminal makes that as quick and as safe as a POS: the customer pays to your virtual account, the credit appears on your cashier's phone or your web dashboard the instant it settles, with the payer's name, and the cashier confirms it against the sale. No hardware. No waiting for an alert. No screenshots.
Three steps, ten seconds, no screenshot
The virtual terminal replaces "send me the screenshot" with something a cashier can trust: the bank's own record of the credit, shown as it happens.
The customer pays to your virtual account
Each till has its own account number, on a card at the counter or read out by the cashier. The customer transfers from any Nigerian bank as usual.
The credit appears, with the payer's name
The moment it settles, the payment shows on the cashier's phone and on the web dashboard: amount, sender's name and bank, and the time. A sound and a banner mark it.
The cashier confirms it against the sale
One tap marks the payment as confirmed and tags it to that till and cashier. The goods go, the record is made, and the day's total updates.
The cashier's phone and the manager's dashboard
The cashier's app shows one till and does one thing: show the next payment and let it be confirmed. The web dashboard shows every till, every branch and every cashier, live and for any day in the past.
- On the phoneBig numbers, a sound for every credit, one Confirm button. Works on any Android or iPhone the cashier already has.
- On the webAll tills side by side, confirmed against unconfirmed, filters by branch, cashier and time, and the day's total updating as it happens.
- Any day, any till, laterEvery confirmation is kept with who confirmed it and when, so a query about last Tuesday takes seconds, not a search through alerts.
Cashiers see money in. Only approvers move money out.
The virtual terminal is built on the same roles as the rest of your business account, so putting a phone in a cashier's hand never puts your balance in their hands.
| Cashier | Manager | Approver | |

A cashier login is tied to a till and can be suspended instantly from the dashboard. Cashiers never see the business balance or any outgoing activity.
End of day, already done
Because every credit arrives on a till's own virtual account and is confirmed by a named cashier, reconciliation is not a task at closing time. It has been happening all day.
- One virtual account per tillCredits are tagged to where they were taken before anyone touches them. A branch's takings are simply the sum of its tills.
- Unconfirmed credits flaggedA payment that arrived but was never confirmed against a sale stands out at closing, so a missed sale or a mistaken transfer is caught the same day.
- Daily summary, exportablePer till, per cashier, per branch, confirmed and unconfirmed, as a PDF for the manager and a CSV for the accountant.
- Already in your balanceVirtual accounts sit under your business account. Confirmed takings are in your balance, under your caps and rules, ready for payroll or a supplier.
Anywhere a customer says "I've sent it"
If your business takes transfers at a counter, a gate, a desk or a table, the virtual terminal is for you.
Shops and supermarkets
Several tills, several cashiers, a manager who wants to see them all. Each till its own account, each cashier their own login.
Restaurants and bars
Waiters confirm from their own phones at the table. The manager sees every confirmation and every unconfirmed credit at close.
Fuel stations and pharmacies
High volume, low margin, no time to check alerts. The credit is on the pump attendant's screen before the customer has put their phone away.
Market traders and wholesalers
One phone, one virtual account, and the certainty that the transfer is real before the goods leave the stall.
Schools and associations
Fees and dues paid by transfer, confirmed against a name at the bursar's desk, with the term's collections exportable in one file.
Events and deliveries
Gate staff and riders confirm payment on the spot, from any phone, with a login that can be switched off when the event or the shift ends.
Only money that actually arrived is ever shown
The virtual terminal displays the bank's own record of credits to your account. It cannot be faked by a customer, edited by a cashier, or delayed by a network alert. And because the accounts behind it belong to a licensed bank, the money is protected from the moment it lands.
- Virtual accounts are NUBAN account numbers issued by Viscount, a bank licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria
- Credits arrive over NIBSS Instant Payment with a session ID, the same rail as any bank transfer
- Takings are deposits in your business account and insured by the NDIC
- Cashier logins can only view and confirm; every confirmation is logged with the user and time
- Payer names shown on the terminal are handled under the Nigeria Data Protection Act and used only to confirm the payment
Cards on the POS, transfers on the terminal, software on the API
